Going to start doing Nutrisystem

I ordered Nutrisystem early yesterday morning. I've been wanting to do it for a couple of months but had to wait til we got our tax money. We've had our tax money for a couple of weeks but I was just now able to order it. I did do Nutrisystem back in 2007 but for only a month because I found out I was pregnant with my son. My husband's aunt is doing it and that's what got me wanting to do it again. Plus it's really easy, you just warm up the food and eat it. And you do have to add fruits, veggies and some dairy with what you eat but it's still really easy. It was the only thing I ever really stuck to while trying to eat right and lose weight. Well, except for a year ago now when I started doing Turbo Jam (I LOVE that work out!) and I was eating well and stuff. I lost 5 pounds in like two and a half weeks and like 8 inches in that time. Then I lost like 4 more inches after that. Then I got sick and didn't feel like working out or eating healthy (well more like fixing food to eat) so I kinda quit and didn't get back into the routine. Ugh! I wish I would've went back on it! Then I gained the weight back and then some. I'm at the heaviest I've ever been. I weigh 138 and I'm only 5'1" and petite so that's bad for me. :( I want to be around 115 or something with some muscle.  I don't know what weight it'll be, I just want to have a flat stomach, a smaller butt, thinner thighs and just get rid of this weight. I was skinny my whole life, almost too skinny. People would always say "you're soooo skinny!" I was sick of hearing that because it sounded like they were saying I was too skinny or whatever, which in some ways I was, but I am only 5'1", petite and small boned so of course I'm skinny. They don't say that now! lol I only weighed around 95-98 pounds my senior year of high school so imagine how skinny that is. It wasn't until I met my husband that I started putting on the weight. Up until then I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight. But then again, I didn't eat a lot then anyway, plus I think walking from class to class and PE helped me not to gain weight. I mean, I wasn't a very active person, I wasn't in any sports in HS but I was still more active than I am now. Then after I was done with college I started to put on a few pounds but I was happy about that. In late 2002 I went from a size 1 to a size 3 in juniors, I was happy about that! But then after I met my husband in the summer of 2003 I started to gain weight and didn't stop really. I was around what I am now when we got married (Ugh! Why didn't I try to lose weight or keep the weight off before we got married?!). But then around when my mom died in earlly 2005 I lost some weight but I still could've lost some more but I looked better than I do now! lol And then after I had my son I weighed 115 but I still didn't look right because I still had a little bit of a belly and some weight around my butt and thighs that I could've lost, I wish I would've just tried to eat healthier and the weight would've come off with breastfeeding. I did get down to 109 after I had my daughter back in 2006, but this was 6 months after she was born. That's the least I've weighed since like, early 2004. Then I gained it back and went back to 117. Then after my son I just gained weight instead of losing it. But now I'm ready to try again! Especially since I have Nutrisystem to do. I've tried to do it on my own and just eat healthy but it's hard for me to not cheat and I know when I did Nutrisystem back in 2007 I didn't cheat and lost 5 pounds in a month. I know I could've lost more if I worked out. I hope to lose maybe like, 10 pounds a month doing this and Turbo Jam. Turbo Jam can really make you burn some fat off your body! I love it! So I'm hoping with those two things to do I'll be able to lose 10 pounds in a month. Then I'll be down 20 pounds in two months (I really hope!) or at least have a lot of body fat gone since that's more important than weight. But I can probably only do Nutrisystem for two months cuz it is kinda expensive, but then again, so is just going to the store and buying food to eat 5 times a day, so either way it's gonna cost. But we'll see. I can't wait to get the food and get started on the new me! I bought a bathing suit last May in hopes that it would motivate me to lose weight so I could wear it but it didn't. I hope, no PLAN on wearing it this summer! I HAVE to do it this time! I'm tired of trying and failing, trying and failing. But it's my own fault for gaining this weight because I love junk food too much, especially chocolate. So I have no one but myself to blame. But anyway, I should be getting the Nutrisystem food on Tuesday so then I can get started on Wednesday. I have to clean out the pantry tomorrow to get ready for all the food and clean out the fridge for the fruits and veggies I'm gonna get. I'll probably buy a little at a time so it doesn't seem like we're spending so much money. lol I know, it'll end up adding up anyway. But at least that way we can get paid and catch up on money again. Anyway, I'm rambling now, so that's my little weight story. I can't wait to be skinny and healthy again!! :)

Taylor Made Minerals and About Face swatches

Ok, so I decided to swatch my other eyeshadows so you can see what they look like too. The About Face ones are the ones I got from someone on the message board on the website who was so kind as to send me samples. That was so sweet of her! Three of the samples were ones I was wanting to get and the other three are ones she just added to it. The first swatches are from Taylor Made Minerals, the ones that are mostly white, lol.

Most of these pictures were taken in natural lighting and a few of them were with the flash on.

From left to right the eyecolors are Allure, Sweetheart, Pearl, Platinum, Diamonds and Glitz.

Sweetheart doesn't show up that much but it's a really pretty light pink with periwinkle sparkles in it.

I think this was without the flash.

From left to right is Kiss of Admiration, Kiss of This, Kiss of That, Thrill of the Hunt, Touched by Truth and Heart of Happiness. The Kiss of...colors are kinda more like highlighters than eyeshadows. They're to be worn on your brow bone, tear duct, cheeks or anywhere else you need for some highlight. But I'm sure it doesn't hurt to wear them as an eyeshadow too. The Thrill of the Hunt color I'm not too crazy about. It's a little too bronzy, coppery for me. But I might try it and see what it looks like on me. I really like Touched by Truth, it's really pretty. And so is Heart of Happiness. I think this picture is taken with the flash on.

more eyeshadows!!

I would've posted this yesterday but never really had the time. I got home and found BOTH of my other packages had arrived in the mail box! Woo hoo! Happy day!! I got my 5 gram jars with sifters for all my eyeshadows and samples and I got my other order of samples. I was super excited! I transferred all the samples into the jars and that is hard to do cuz the eyeshadows want to stick to the bag. I did make a little mess but it wasn't too bad. All the colors are pretty and most of them are shimmery/sparkly. Like I said in my last post I got 6 eyeshadows plus 3 free ones, a sample of foundation, this all over face color and Twilight Dazzle. I did swatch them to show what they look like except two of them because they wouldn't really stick to my skin because they're glitters so I just took pictures of the jar instead. And it's funny that I have two more white eyshadows, but these are more powdery than the ones from Taylor Made. So now I have like, 6 white eyeshadows. hehe Oh well. I can't wait to try all the eyeshadows I have and see how they look on me! And I even found a 4th sample, it's a lipstick but I'm not sure if it'll look good on me. I guess I'll have to see. But that was nice that they added a 4th sample. Ok, so here are the pictures:

The first color from the left is Adrenochrome, the second is Black Celebration, the third is White Riot, the fourth is White Wedding, the fifth is Twilight Dazzle (it's really more sparkly and shimmery than that! The camera doesn't do it justice!), the sixth is the all over face color called Twinkle, the seventh is Sophie, the eighth is Ginger and the ninth is Angelique. I didn't add the foundation one because well, it is just a foundation. I wish I would've ordered a different color than Sophie but the way it was described sounded pretty but it doesn't look the way it was described. I should've ordered the other color I liked. Oh well.

The first two colors look a lot alike but the Adrenochrome is a sparkly gray and the Black Celebration is well, black, sparkly black. I wore that as an eye liner today and applied it wet and let me tell you it was REALLY sparkly and pretty! I loved it!

I added this picture because Adrenochrome and Black Celebration showed up a little better than the other picture. I should just take a picture of the jars because they'll be prettier probably.

And here are the glitter eyeshadows in the jars.

This one is Shake It Up, it looks a lot different thand described and shown on the website but it still looks cool! The website describes it as pale champagne sparkle with iridescent sparkles. And here is the picture from the website:

And this one is Icing Sugar and I was surprised to see that it was white. In the picture it's a pinkish color and it's described as iridescent pink sparkle.

It looks different here, that's why I ordered it because it was pink. But it still looks pretty!

And here are the pictures of the eyeshadows in the jars.

Adrenochrome and Black Celebration. Black Celebration really has silvery sparkles in it but in the picture they look more purplish. It might just be the way the flash catches the sparkles.

White Wedding and White Riot. Weird that I have so much more of White Wedding than White Riot, I don't know why. These look more sparkly in person than what the camera shows. Darn flash.

Twilight Dazzle and Twinkle. I got A LOT of these for samples! Plus a lot of the foundation too. Twilight Dazzle in the picture does no justice to how pretty and sparkly it is in person! And Twinkle even though it's really pink I'm sure when you apply a little to the face it won't look like that. In fact I put some on today and couldn't tell I was wearing it, weird. That one is an all over face color. And Twilight Dazzle is a face and body color.

Sophie and Ginger. Not as sparkly as the other eyeshadows but still pretty. I don't know if I'll wear Sophie that much since it's not really the color it was described as. It seems too coppery to me. The website said it was a champagne color, doesn't look like that to me, oh well.

Angelique, I wore this today and it looked lighter pink than that on me. I might try it foiled next time. But really pretty!

eyeshadow samples

Ok, so I have something else to write about today. lol I ordered some mineral eyeshadow samples from a couple of sites and got one of them today in the mail. I also have been ordering eyeshadows from this one site that the company is being discontinued, but the lady is going to do something else with make up, just not quite the same thing. The eyeshadows from there were already really cheap but now they're a little cheaper so I have been snatching them up since it's being discontinued. I can't wait 'til those start rolling in! Anyway, back to the samples I got today. The samples came from Taylor Made Minerals, www.taylormademinerals.com. I ordered five samples and even got another one for free. I was like, "what's that one? I didn't order it?" Plus it was in a baggie and I ordered my samples in jars. So the colors are really pretty and glittery/shimmery, which I LOVE! I swatched them on my hand to see what they looked like and then took pictures but it didn't really show up in the pictures. Maybe I'll try it again tomorrow in natural light or different light. And maybe even try it on my arm instead of my hand. So I just took pictures of them in the jars. The colors I ordered were all white except one, weird that I ordered almost all white. But they were really pretty and sparkly so that's why I ordered almost all white. The colors are called: Glitz, Diamonds, Platinum, Pearl, and Sweetheart. And then the free one I got is called Allure. Pearl has the least shimmer/glitter and I think the most would be Platinum, Platinum and Sweetheart are glitters and the others are just pigments so that's probably why Platinum is the most glittery. I am posting pictures so you have an idea of what they look like. I can't wait to wear them! Also, when I get my samples from the other company (which I'm hoping I'll get them tomorrow but who knows), I'll post pictures of those. But I ordered more than just eyeshows because there was minimum of $10 to order so I also ordered a sample of one of their foundations, this Twilight  body powder (it makes you sparkle like the vampires! lol) and an all over face powder. I did order like, 6 eyeshadow samples I think. Plus with every order you get three free samples so I go three more eyeshadows. Cool! But anyway, that's all I wanted to post about tonight! This one is Platinum, it's very glittery and pretty.

This one is Diamonds, very pretty too!

The website describes it as

translucent white with heavy glitter.

This is Pearl and the least shimmery/glittery.

And it seems more powdery than the others.

But it still has shimmer to it as you can see

and it is really pearly when applied.

soft, fine pearly white with light

shimmer and a smooth finish.

This is Sweetheart. It's really pretty.  This is

the other glitter one. It has like, purple glitter

to it, it's really cool!

The website describes it as

baby pink glitter. Fine particle.

it really is. It's a lighter pink than it shows

in this picture.

The website describes it as

vibrant, warm pink with golden shimmer.

It's cool because it also has like a purplish

tint to it, like in certain light it looks purplish too.

Kinda cool.

I 'm kinda afraid to wear it because it's

so vibrant. I am very fair skinned and have red hair

(well it's called strawberry blonde) and I don't

know if it'll look good on me. I guess I can always

try it and see.

 

And those are the eyeshadow samples I bought. I will have to wear one for the rest of each day of the week.

I wonder which one will be my favorite? I guess I'll find out! :)

hair cut

I got my hair cut yesterday. I've been needing to get it cut. It's been since August that I had a hair cut last. My hair gets damaged easily because I blow dry and straighten it pretty much everyday. I like the way it looks straightened so I usually straighten it. I need to start getting my hair cut more often too, to help with the damage. I didn't get a lot cut off, just got it trimmed and some face framing layers and got my bangs cut. It's really cute and the girl who did it was the first person to get it pretty much like the picture I want it cut like. I will be going back to her from now on! I usually try different stylists at different places to see who does the best job and I really liked her. She knew how to cut my bangs so they looked like the picture. Woo hoo, FINALLY!!!!!! It's nice to find someone who cuts it the right way and how I want it cut. I'm pretty particular when it comes to that and I want it cut like the picture. lol I know, no one is perfect and they can't cut it exactly like that but I'd like it to be close. :) Anyway, I will post a couple of pictures of it just so you know what it looks like. I 'm not sure what else to write but I just wanted to write about that. I will post again when there's something worth writing about.  Which who knows when that'll be! ;) hehe Have a good night!

This is my first blog post

Hello and welcome to my blog! I hope that you find this enjoyable, maybe a little entertaining and that it gives you a glimpse inside my world. I don't have a whole lot to write tonight and may not have a lot to write a lot of the time. I'm just your average person. I'm a wife and a mom and surprisingly I'm not really that busy. I have a lot of free time which I should use to clean the house more. :) But I'm not one of those moms that has no free time and is running around doing a lot of stuff. Maybe that'll happen once the kids are older and in school, and after we have our third kid, which hopefully won't be for a couple of years. hehe Anyway, I'm just sitting here on a Friday night writing this. I don't go out and do a lot, but I do go out and do things, it's just not every night or every weekend. We're fortunate enough to have my husband's parents who watch our kids a lot so we can go out and do things, either by ourselves or with friends. It's nice to be able to get away and go to a movie or just dinner without the kids. I love my kids dearly but it is nice to have a break once in a while. All you parents out there know what I'm talking about. :) You just need to have a break from the kids and have some time by yourself or with your spouse and/or friends. Anyway, I will update you with anything that's worth posting about or if I just feel like posting something. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy! :)
